14th dec
woke up at ard 5.45am cuz we need to reach airport at 6.30(i think) cuz the flight is at 8.30..so tired and my morning hair was super messy. then we ended up reaching airport late and had to queue up very long to check-in. we walked towards the gate where we're supposed to board the plane. but when we almoz reached, my mum sudd said tt she needed to go guardian to buy some medicine cuz her stomach not feeling well..and so...we had to walk all the way back cuz guardian was at the other end of the airport. when we finally reached the gate, the queue was quite short cuz we're late so we got in quite quickly..haha mayb nxt time we shld deliberately be later. hmm watched step up and you,me and dupree on the plane. but tis japan airlines movies,games and music much more boring than SIA's..prob partly cuz moz of the music is japanese. i was sitting nxt to my sis and another person whom i didnt noe..but after tt i found out tt she oso joined the same tour as us. lol..k anyway first day we didnt do much. checked into hotel(narita excel hotel) and went to aeon shopping mall for dinner. i shared a room with my sis and ended up being her maid for certain occasions..at the shopping mall, we made do with the food court and ordered noodles..they had this vending machine type of thing to order food. after u hav inserted the money, a receipt will drop out and u juz hav to pass tis to the stall holder. they even hav tis device which acts as a pager. it'll beep when ur food's ready. woa..like so high tech. quite funny though. anyway, i couldnt slp tt nite for some unknown reason. slept at ard 11pm and woke up at 4am..after tt i tried to slp but couldnt and i juz gave up. haha ended up watching a cave man type of cartoon on tv. anyway morning call was at 6.15 so even if i slept, it wud not be long..

i ate a lot for breakfast..my mum was like "u didnt slp much laz nite..later muz slp in the bus ar..and drink more miso soup and tea..gd for u"..i ended up drinking japanese roasted tea, lemon tea, orange juice and miso soup. no wonder i felt super nauseous in the bus..super uncomfortable until we reached our destination- chinatown- where i could get some fresh air and walk abt. actually didnt see much there..juz some normal chinese stuff. after tt we went to experience sitting on a bullet train for only 1 stop :(. when we reached the platform, a train was leaving and i was like super shocked cuz it travelled at such a high speed(i think abt 300km/h) and made such a sudden loud noise..phew..anyone who gets hit will sure die instantly. it was comfortable in there anyway and so fast. hehe anyway, after we got off, we took the subway train to ginza and had lunch there..some tempura set lunch. i couldnt eat much cuz i ate too much tis morning. after tt we went to walk along ginza which was japan's version of orchard rd..the tour grp split into 2 grps as my mum wanted to see burberry blue label bags while the rest shopped somewhere else. at the burberry shop, my mum bought a bag which cant be found in spore after choosing for quite a long time. and then we had to walk quite far back to the meeting place and went to ramen museum by bus. it was actually not really like a museum showing historical stuff. but the building structure and design inside depicted the olden days and they had many stalls selling ramen. but my family were too full already. lol my parents bought some dried ramen from the souvenir shop to bring back to spore. there were oso really nice decorated bowls and spoons there..then we..hmm..wad did we do ar..i think i forgot! haha i only remember tt we checked into washington hotel which was eww..super small. and breakfast was not really nice. [now i remember..we went to somewhere for shopping and dinner. odaiba or sth..then they had a ferris wheel there but we decided not to take a ride cuz according to ppl who sat before, it's boring and one ride is 45mins!

as i said, breakfast was sort of horrible..haha very small range of food to eat. i ate mozly dimsum and drank some apple juice. fruits available were those type of cocktail canned fruits..we finished our breakfast real fast. hmm..then the first stop was somewhere near mt fuji where we sat a cruise ship for like one stop too..haha super cold! after tt we went for lunch and ate japanese food again..similar to the tempura set we had the day before but there was udon..but anyway, i didnt really like it. after lunch my mum bought some seaweed topping for rice at the souvenir shop..like almoz every place has a souvenir shop lor. haha anyway the nxt destination was hakone(i think it's named tt) where ppl divert mt fuji's spring water to, to make soba noodles..and as expected, there was a souvenir shop there..my parents went looking for food products and me and my sis went ard looking at souvenirs..and we saw tis small and cute japanese doll figuirine which we ended up buying cuz i liked the fact that my sis looked like it when she was young..lol the chubby face, straight fringe and straight black hair. after tt, we set off for mt fuji bybbus again. the bus drove up to the 5th station which was ard half way up mt fuji..on the bus journey, i was looking out the window, staring into the forests where it is known to be a danger zone. the tour guide was telling us never to go into the mt fuji forest as u'll not be able to get out cuz it's juz too big. hmm..then it was also known tt many japanese had choose to go into the forest to commit suicide cuz apparently ppl wud not be able to find them. there's also a saying tt all japanese muz climb mt fuji at least once..if not, they wud not be considered japanese. but i think nowadays ppl dont really bother abt tis..prob only the older generation care more abt this saying. anyway, the forest looked quite creepy....ok..haha anyway when i saw tis white stuff on the edge of the road on the way up..i was like telling my sis "omg..wad's tt white stuff..izzit..izzit..SNOW?!" lol ya..i felt quite dumb and elated cuz i finally got to see real snow. at the 5th station, the whole ground was covered with snow and it was really freezing cuz of the strong chilly wind. luckily, as usual, there was a souvenir shop..and after a few minutes outside, me and my sis ran into the shop to take cover. oh and there's a heater in the shop! yeah..my mum stayed in the shop the whole time and my dad, my sis and me went outside for mayb ard 5min to take photos. after touching snow and taking pics, i hurried back into the shop..brrr.........super cold. my face was super numb. fingertips too. but too bad we didnt see it actually snowing..only saw snow on the ground. after tis, the bus drove us to a hotel called hoyu inn which was near lake tawagutchi(duno how to spell..haha anyhow write)..then the rooms were tatami style. there were no beds but only matresses on straw mats. the shower area was also separate from the toilet..some ppl, including my mum went to the hot spring bath in the hotel (i think it's called onsen) but i didnt..firstly,my leg was super dry and hot water wud worsen it and secondly..well u have to be totally naked to go into the hot spring! lol..ew..but my mum said it was really nice and soothing. after tt was dinner at the hotel. japanese "steamboat" dinner. hmm..didnt really seem like steamboat cuz it's juz the soup boiling with the ingredients or food already inside. then after dinner we lazed ard..my parents started holding a long conversation with another family..then someone from our tour grp came and told us tt the hotel sells ice cream at only 105yen which is slightly more than $1.30..and it's quite big. hehe so me and my sis bought ice cream. when we opened it, it was like super frozen..hard as rock..lol had to wait some time to eat it.

tis morning had yet another japanese meal..japanese breakfast at the same place where we had dinner ytd. [side track..woa..this post is getting super long. ah!] ah..getting sick of jap food. hehe after tt we set off for disneyland. the tour guide was like saying usually can sit onlyabt 5 rides. if u're lucky mayb 6 or 7..cuz queues mayb 45min or 1hr or more! and we really experienced long queues there. there was even 1 ride which is took 2hrs to queue..haha but we got a fast pass for tt..no need to queue so long. anyway, there were many japs there..mozly local ppl in tokyo disneyland. hmm..and the rides all have japanese narration. lucky some hav eng translation..lol anyway we sat those non-scary rides..roller coasters were a no no to me. haha and guess wad.. we managed to sit 6rides..haha we're lucky! but overall it was quite fun despite the long queues..but i wud prob not want to go there again..juz thinking abt the queues scares me off. at ard 6pm, we departed for dinner. dinner was like sort of bbq buffet style..had to grill our food on some metal grills..after cooking some food, my mum complained tt it was super unhealthy cuz it's cancer causing. lol we end up not touching any bbq food but went to take cooked food. haiz..y they dun wanna put some aluminium foil and butter or sth..then the food wun be so black..haha burnt. me and my sis took some "soft" icecream. japan was known to hav really nice icecream but tis one tasted like mcdonald's icecream..then my parents were like wondering if the owners of the restaurant were japanese or not..so after dinner we checked into narita excel hotel..the very first hotel we stayed in.

got quite sick of breakfast..but juz tried to eat different food today. haha anyway we took the subway train again..to ueno. rotted on the train again. when we reached, we headed to the shophouses or small stalls or wadever u call those. then me and my sis juz followed my parents as they walked thru the streets..hmm..quite boring actually. hahaha i forgot if my parents bought anythin though. [am getting really lazy to write out everythin tt happened..haha so i'll stop here. anyway, the nxt day we went shopping too before leaving in the afternoon to the airport. flight was at 5pm so i reached spore at abt 1am spore time. hehe slept at 2am]
